Guest guest
Dear Anita, That was a funny story that your Nanny told you, a little extreme though, and if anyone tried that today, they would end up in jail. I know you have some bad experiences with doctors, but you have to remember that you are presently in a good place with Sprycel. I know you are not happy with your weight gain, but when I saw you, I didn't think you were overweight, you appeared to be slim and trim. Some people suffer from egoism and that would include professional people in all walks of life. When doctors are infected with it, they put their patients at risk. Unfortunately, some patients have a fear of speaking up for themselves. We grew up with the mindset that doctors were almost perfect. With the internet brought education and knowledge and the ability to learn about our disease, so that we can ask questions and challenge what we don't agree with. For some who never experienced what you did, it is an eye opener and I suspect there are many who were in the same boat, especially if they had the same doctor as you. Good for you for standing up for yourself. Maybe someone should have hit him with an iron skillet. LOL. Blessings, Lottie
