Guest guest
Ho,Ho,Ho Lottie, you crack me up!! Find me a man, young OR old?? Geesh! My life is SO perfect the way it is, why would you want to mess it up by " fixing " me up? Although, I admit, younger man sounds rather appealing, please don't play cupid for me, or Santa will leave a huge lump of coal in your bra! The eye twitching is a real bummer, drives me crazy. Fortunately it doesn't last forever, but I also have the silent migranes in my eyes, where I get thee strange irregular shapes in the path of my vision. They are said not to be serious, but who says it isn't bothersome? When you find a single hem/onc, ask if he has a friend for our pal, Bobby. She is available, and being a younger man is no problem, as long as he is not looking for a nurse and a purse. LOL Blessings of the season, Lottie
Guest guest
Lottie and Bobby- man I don't want to get in the middle of you two... " coal in your bra " ...the things I've learned from this group. Lottie an " accomodation " means they would find me a job at my agency that I could do with any health restrictions I might have- they would accomodate my condition. In my case I asked to come out of the field where I could not control my environment- schools , group homes, foster children, police departments, hospitals( I was a child abuse investigator for children who were already in foster care). My levels are always low red and white blood cells and at one time my white cell count was 1. So I was very lucky and was able to apply for and get a desk job as a supervisor, but I did it without asking for an accomodation. But with layoffs looming anywere between 200-over 600, I'm thinking I should ask for an official accomodation which should bring me under Americans with Disabilities Act ( ADA) and maybe offer me sme protection to avoid layoff. My biggest issue is the insurance. We will be taking a paycut that's fine if I can keep my job and insurance. Even if Novartis gives me gleevec The monitoring is important for liver damage, mutations etc. I think I will look for a new job anyway because it is probably only a matter of time before I get the boot- next fiscal year has a bigger deficit than this year!!!! You can look up our situation online Orange County Register -Social Services Agency. All together I have been here about 18 years. I ahd two breaks in service when I returned to PA because of family reasons( my father dying of alzheimers and my sister having meningitis and my great neice in a major car accident. Bobby- I'll be in Ohio next year for the Quarter Horse Congress- come on over and you could get a cowboy( just teasing -no coal for me.)
