Guest guest
Don't add as much ice or let the drink sit on the counter to get closer to room temperature. What I do is freeze my bananas and use that instead of ice. Also there's so many warm soups etc you can use your Vitamix for. I've had my VM for years and use it daily...and am still surprised at what I can make with it. Guest guest
I tried letting things sit a while but still icy cold and omg the headaches were fierce (( there are alot of other things to make I know and they sound good. but we dont use sugar or other type of sweetners and alot of the recipes call for that. > > > > WOW there is more to the vitamix than the cold stuff.. > > > >  > > Patti > > > > > > ________________________________ > > From: *Debbie* <debbie_w_ohio@> > > > > Sent: Saturday, May 12, 2012 8:57 AM > > Subject: Returning > > > > > >  > > Guess what? Guest guest
Why don't you just blend it on high until it reaches the temperature that you like? Smoothies can be made to any temperature you want. One cold wintery day I even heated up a Green Smoothie to Hot Soup temperature!Did you make soup? /links/Recipe_Links_001298558025/Soups_001327151354/ Blessings,Lea Ann SavageSatellite Beach, FL(321) 773-7088 (home)(321-961-9219 (cell)www.BlenderLady.com(AKA the Vitamix Lady :-)<))>< On May 12, 2012, at 9:57 AM, *Debbie* wrote: Guess what? Guest guest
There is a chance that the headaches were caused either by using non organic produce (concentrated pesticides-you can NOT wash them off) or that you may be sensitive to salicylates and amines, which occur naturally in all fruits and most veggies. Sometimes people will experience symptoms from increasing their veggie intake too quickly. Sorry you haven't been enjoying your Vitamix. > > > > > I tried letting things sit a while but still icy cold and omg the headaches > > > were fierce (( > > > there are alot of other things to make I know and they sound good. but > > > we dont use sugar or other type of sweetners and alot of the recipes call for > > > that. > > > > >
Guest guest
It was acutally from the ICY cold stuff lol. Like when you get a brain freeze eating ice cream etc. I love the vitamix but for the high cost I doubt I will use it enuff to justify keeping it, if we cant have smoothies, etc. Oh well. > > > > > > > I tried letting things sit a while but still icy cold and omg the headaches > > > > were fierce (( > > > > there are alot of other things to make I know and they sound good. but > > > > we dont use sugar or other type of sweetners and alot of the recipes call for > > > > that. > > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
If it wasnt so costly I would prb keep it to use for the things I can use it for. But the big reason for getting it was smoothies, desserts, etc. Oh well. > > > > > I tried letting things sit a while but still icy cold and omg the headaches > > > were fierce (( > > > there are alot of other things to make I know and they sound good. but > > > we dont use sugar or other type of sweetners and alot of the recipes call for > > > that. > > > > >

Guest guest
go onto YouTube and watch some of the many Vitamix recipes demonstrated. Might give you different ideas. It is all an evolution. I only did sweet smoothies and frappachino ice coffee and then did V8 type smoothie and then tortilla soup and then came the nut butters. You aren't going to get your money's worth over night but it does become a lifestyle changer over time if you keep trying new things. Good luck. This group is a wonderful resource. > > > > Guess what?
