Guest guest
Hi Sue, my neuts have been as low as .4, I have had no rashes, the only thing I notice when my counts are low is fatigue. And they cautioned me against going in crowds, germs, fresh fruit and veggies, and wash hands all the time. Guest guest
Hi Sue, I've spent years with a neutrophil count between 1.1 and 1.5. It's just part of being on Gleevec for me and I've never had a rash. Guest guest
Thanks Gals I knew I was looking under a rock for any other excuse - I cannot keep blaming everything on glivec But obviously I can - it just me and glivec. My haem just thinks I am just very sensitive and some people get headaches, others the runs - I get a rash - so not so bad - good trade off in the scheme of things - especially since they are non itchy I have had a week now with no rash of any description - (after 2 months of three various types) this is a record. A few scars from sores on arms - No I did not rub them - skin very dry still and moisturiser is sucked up as quickly as it is put on. Advised not to use soaps, wax or shave legs (What the !!!) I will be the hairy legged woman from OZ and as Bobbie suggested keep washing hands all the time - which I do by the way plus the use of wipes after going on trains, buses, strange places like libraries or anywhere there has been lots of people. So if anyone ever visits, and sights a person - short, glasses, tadpole eyes, lots of sores, and blood blister rashes with hairy legs and a packet of wipes, and jumping up and down as I have hot coal in my Bras, that's ME !! Easily recognisable Sue # 1197
Guest guest
I love this group. Currently not much to laugh about with my job hanging by a thread, but I always find a smile here. > From: Sue <hollie@...> > Subject: [ ] Re: Border line Neutropenia > > Date: Friday, December 12, 2008, 10:45 PM > Thanks Gals > > I knew I was looking under a rock for any other excuse - I > cannot keep blaming everything on glivec > > But obviously I can - it just me and glivec. > > My haem just thinks I am just very sensitive and some > people get headaches, others the runs > - I get a rash - so not so bad - good trade off in the > scheme of things - especially since they > are non itchy > > I have had a week now with no rash of any description - > (after 2 months of three various types) > this is a record.
