continuing the discourse.... with good intentions

jeanie... i respect you opinions and comments but i don't really think it's

a good thing. i'm not saying what i have experienced in others staring and

judging is anything traumatic or anything to make me question my self worth.

it's just i was trying to say that no matter whether you are

short, tall, skinny, overweight, black, blue, white etc; you get the picture... no

matter who you are or what differences you have from others no one will go

through life without being discriminated against, rejected for their outward

self or judged in some way. i wasn't trying to say that it's undeserved

because yes i do things to myself that make people stare at me. i just

overlook it and despite what you think it is being rude and narrow-minded to

stare at someone.

regardless!! obviously you do fall into that category. i don't ever stare at

someone unless i think they are gorgeous. i wouldn't stare at someone if

they had another arm growing out of their forehead.

as for the guys on jackass that do crazy stupid things to amuse people; it's

called comedy , entertainment , having a sense of humor.

i came to this list to make new friends and i'm not excluding you jeanie but

i think you read something wrong in my message. as far as myself growing out

of this i'm almost 27 been this way since 13 and i don't see it changing .

nope! it's called a personality and a lifestyle choice...

what you consider mutilating the body god gave me i call me being free to

experiment with ink and art...

take care of yourselves and each other,

jen

It's so funny that some people have such a good experience with their

VA clinic and others are treated like dirt. That just makes no sense

to me at all. They should be uniform for goodness sake. But I know

they are not.

The rep at my VA Center already told me on the phone this morning

that I will be denied. Big help he's gonna be. I'll just have to get

out my boxing gloves...and my dancing shoes. I'll dance around the

ones who have no clue and box the ones who want to fight!!

Congrats on a good biopsy!! I hope you do well on the treatment. It's

not fun or easy, but you sure have a good shot at it with that

genotype and the rest of the good news on your liver!

Jeanie,

It sounds to me like you are Stage 3 Fibrosis but with no bridging,

which is a good thing. They may even put it at Stage 2. As for the

RDW, I have heard of this and cannot for the life of me remember what

the heck it is, but I'll find out and post it for you ok?

Pam,

Yes, it is hard for people to understand... most of the time, I don't like

like I don't feel good or that something hurts. I am lucky that those

around me at least believe me. When I was married to my ex, every time I

turned around he was telling me this is all in my head or that is all in my

head... makes ya really feel like doodoo... The description of where you

live sounds so lovely. I had a house in Britain, Wales actually, that sat

on 16 acres of river-front property, the driveway was gravel, a mile long...

it was the most beautiful place I'd ever seen or lived... I couldn't walk up

the driveway either, never could. Now, I'm back in the states, living in a

sweet little cedar condo or townhome or whatever one calls them *grins*...

it's quite nice here, but country it definitely isn't. City life was great

when I was younger, but now, I want nature around me... okay, I'll shut

up... :)

Princess

[ It is a 50 minute drive to a Mall. The closest one is in Macon. I would

be walking too and I love to walk. Three years ago I was walking between two

and three miles a day. Then we moved to the country and it took me 15

minutes to get to town. We live on a gravel road about 3/4 of a mile down

that before you get to our house. The gravel road is not something you want

to walk on when you have trouble with your feet and legs. It has been

getting so bad lately (leg pain) , I just make sure I'm with my husband or a

friend if I go any where. It is unbelieveable how you can be so healthy a

few years ago and still look healthy and inside you have so much

pain.....you can't see pain so it's hard for people to understand.]

know all of you in this group. I am so very sorry to hear about all

that you have and are going through. Thank God that they were

finally able to find the fracture. I know what you mean about God

and helping you through it all. I have been at my lowest and know

that if it was not for him pulling me out of it I would be worse

off. I am in California and am in desperate search for a Doctor that

is good and accurate. Nerve damage has got to be one of the worst

things that I have experienced so far and very scary. I still have

no feeling in parts of my right leg and the feelings I do have in

the rest of the leg and the left leg as well are not nice. I am

praying for you as well as Teri for what you are going though and

the surgeries that you are going to endure. Please keep me updated

on how you are doing and if there is anything that I can do for you.

Sorry Jeanie, for spelling your name wrongly.

I noticed that " non-text portions had been removed " in my post. The only removal

was of an underlining of the word " overview " which I wanted to importantly

emphasise.

We seem to be being a little " censored " on this site. Firstly the colour went

and now basic things such as underscoring.

Seems a little pedantic.

Dear Jeannie,

May I just comment that you have had replies from two extremely well-respected

members of this Group, Sandy and Notan.

Without trying to sound pompous, I honestly believe that they and many of the

people here have a better overview of this disease than many of the medical

profession.

Best Wishes to you from Ann in England.

I believe anything that requires HTML code is no longer working. If I

send a message that is declared to be HTML the entire message will be

rejected. This change may be to reduce the amount of spam that makes it

to the messages. From what I understand much of it was deleted before we

ever saw it. So even though we didn't see it there may have been a need

to reduce the attraction to spammers. Just a guess though.
