Zavie & Team:

I have had CML for 5.5 years now and I have done very well.  On some PCR labs I

come back PCR-U.  On others such as Lab Corp I show residual boogers.   A year

or so ago on Lab Corp I exhibited a b2a2 of 0.004 and a b3a2 of 0.046.

Recently I came back with a Lab corp result of < 0.001 on b2a2 and a 0.008 on

B3a2 - so I am pretty happy.

One thing I did notice is that for the last 6 trips to my Dr my platelets have

consistently been creeping up.   This last trip I showed a count of .364 and

every trip before that I has higher than the previous.   I think I did read that

if you are anemic or low on iron your platelets trend higher ( I am always on

the low end of those results)- but I was wondering if anybody had any

experience, information or thoughts.

Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Hi

Best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a great New Year.

There must be something going on in your body for the platelets to keep

increasing. The good news is that they are still within the normal range

(145-400). My platelets have been bouncing around between 150 -200 for the

past 5 years.

Ask your doctor at the next appointment and see what he says.
