New autism drop-in centre opens

Children with autism often perform ritualistic or repetitive motionsA new specialist centre for children suffering from autism is opening in Ipswich on Monday.

The project run by the National Autistic Society (NAS) is the result of ten years of campaigning by families and carers. Staff at the Kesgrave drop-in centre will provide services for children aged between 5 and 13 with an autistic spectrum disorder. There are over 500 families affected by Autism in Suffolk.
