Awe Dede, thanks! That means alot right now because I

feel so far away from being " together " in any way. I

am trying my very hardest to keep positive and not

give up. I know there are many people in the world

that are suffering much more than I am, so I always

try to remain grateful for what I do have! You are an

inspiration to me.

xo Katy:)

Katy ~

Rambling is good, you need to do that sometimes to get it all out. We are all here for you ! I certainly ramble on, more often than I wish, but after explant, I hope to ramble less and less.....lol...

Ya know, my family thinks nothing of my being ill either. I havent heard from or seen my kids at all since the day I was in the hospital.

Rarely hear from my brother or one of my sisters. One sister I chat with online a couple times a week with. She has arthritis, depression, and the list goes on, so she understands all this somewhat. My friends stopped coming around, cuz I cant go and do like they can. They no longer have time. I hear from them via email, but that is about it. I keep my computer on, so my phone wont ring off the wall with medical bill collectors. I tell ya, 7 hospital visits in less than 2 years with no job, makes me in debt up to heaven. They all actually bug me to death, and send me over to collections......what a waste of their money and time.......why not accept what medicare pays them, and write off the balance and take it off their taxes. You know as long as I keep getting this half assed medical care and passed around as complicated without ever treating me or getting to the root cause, I will never be able to earn any money to pay them........Stupid is as stupid does, cant they see that? See, look at me, rambling on.........LOLOLOL...anyway, I know even tho it is very tough right now, we are becoming stronger people.

Katy, you are so compassionate and careing, and with all that is going on with you, that is remarkable !

I am sorry it hasnt worked out with you and your boyfriend, I know that is rough on top of it all, but I believe you have made the right decision based on what you have said.

The fact he sucks the life out of you to nurture himself, shows he is not grown up enough within himself to have a relationship with anyone.

Bless your heart Katy, my heart is with you, and the journey that you and your mom will be taking for this surgery will be a huge for you two.

Your mom will learn alot she doesnt know about you, and what you have been going through.

You are in my prayers ~ Love DedeGet a sneak peek of the all-new AOL.com.

Dear Katy,

I have known you for a long time and if I recall, this is not the first time

you have gotten yourself into a depressed state. I have to ask, WHAT WERE YOU

THINKING?????????????????? Have you ever thought of what would happen to your

husband and children if you let yourself go like that? You said Dale was very

sensitive, so have you talked to him about this, without the children around?

Children are in no way old enough or knowledgeable enough to make responsible

decisions about your health and treatment of CML. Some of us had other health

problems before CML as a holdover, and some of us have acquired new ones. No

matter how our blood looks on the charts, there is no free ride. We have to

work at learning and living with CML. I believe you already know the

consequences of what you are doing to yourself. This is a lifelong disease, we

can't turn it off and on at will and neither do we have the luxury of stopping

our meds without the express permission of our doctors. If you tell this to

your doctor, he might be tempted to ask where you got your medical degree. We

can't play doctor with our disease, it is not to be toyed with, my dear Katy.

Listen to your inner voice.

I have been on many trials and drugs and at no time have I considered

stopping taking the meds that are keeping me alive, no matter how bad the side

effects were. Living is about choices. We have seen what happens when

teenagers make bad choices, but this is an entirely different ball game, you

could lose your life. I would like to think it was a temporary decision on your

part, but you seem to be dead serious about ending your life in this manner.

Next you will descend to accelerated and then on to blast. Have you really

thought about what it would be like to be in either situation?

If your doctors don't seem to care, maybe you could find someone who does.

Your dizzy spells could be a number of things. Read what Mayo clinic says about

dizzyness and it is not normally life threatening:

..

" Dizziness is one of the most common reasons adults visit their doctors - right

up there with back pain and headaches. Although it may be disabling and

incapacitating, dizziness rarely signals a serious, life-threatening condition.

Treatment of dizziness depends on the cause and your symptoms, but is usually

effective. "

There is more to read at their website. There was also lively discussion

about the causes just a few weeks ago, some of our members found themselves in a

similiar position. It does not last forever. If it continues, then you should

see an ENT about your symptoms. I have experienced this on numberous occasions

on one of my trial drugs.

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/dizziness/DS00435.

I know you will receive this information from me and the others who have

posted to be in your best interests. We all care about you, and maybe you wait

too long before expressing your thoughts about what is going on in your life

and asking for the help you need emotionally. We know the real Katy, and this

is not you.

Blessings,

Lottie

Words of wisdom from Mama Lottie.  Sounds like Katy is going through a bad patch

but all of us have way too much to live for and now we catually have the means

to do it with all the new meds.  One of my staff members came into my office

this morning just as I was wiping my eyes, so I had to explain why I was crying

at work.   I had been reading the posts and well you all read them- although

there is triumpth  many times there is sadness.

Hugs to us all.
