I just took my first batch of halved peaches off the cookie sheet and put them

in a baggie. I am now hoping that the Vitamix will be able to pulverize them

and I didn't make a mistake not quartering them before freezing. Any quick

answers before I start my next batch?

When I froze mine for ice cream, I cut the pieces into eighths - easier to blend that way. 1/2 will take a bit of elbow grease with the tamper I would imagine. Also harder to get the right amount if you are trying to make ice cream - so much air space with halves - hard to tell if you are at the 4 cup line or not. If you have smaller pieces and you are making ice cream and you see that you need "only a little bit more" frozen ingredients, it would be easier to toss in 1/8 of a peach than 1/2.But, for Green Smoothies, the 1/2 pieces should work out ok.
