Guest guest
Hey everyone, I need 'suggestions' I suppose. My first BMB was Sept. 2007, although uncomfortable, not unbearable. I don't remember being in pain for a week later, and I don't remember the area being extremely sensitive. A second BMB last Monday. I was crying. The same lady did this biopsy. She didn't even get a core sample because it hurt so bad. I told her, something's wrong. It isn't right. Now, nearly a week later, that same spot it VERY sore. I think she caught the sciatic nerve. My hubby was rubbing my back last night, got down to that lower right side, and I was just about in tears again. Wearing the wrong pants that have a tag, or rub on that area HURTS. Note - the 'area' that I refer to is about 1 1/2 inches south of the actual hole in my back. Even twisting my back can be uncomfortable. BTW - my constant pain is like a 2 on the 1 - 10 scale. Minimal, but still there, with spikes of 4 or 5 if something hits it wrong. Doc says that I am just more susceptible to pain. She wants to put me under next time. (Like in a colonoscopy.) I'm asking for feedback I guess. Do BMB's really get worse? Can they 'do it wrong'? Was she in the wrong spot? Is one side better than the other? I'm thinking that if I was 'under' for this... and she really was in the wrong spot, couldn't she have hurt something even more if I didn't let her know how much pain I was in? Thanks, Tammy
