Guest guest
I take 800mg of Gleevec/day. It costs about $7800/month, which is covered by Medi-Cal in California. I'm not sure what I would do without this insurance. How do others pay for their meds? Insurance? Out of pocket (OMG, I can't imagine)? Guest guest
Hi Mark: I am fortunate enough to have my insurance pay for my 400MG. tablets, but when my husband was out of work, Novartis gave me my Gleevec for free for 1 year. They will help if you cannot afford your medications. Also, if your on disability and are on Medicare, then I believe Medicare will pay with a co-pay. I pay $80.00 co-pay for a 90 day supply through my husbands insurance. Guest guest
Mark- I work for the County of Orange and have a very good chance of being laid off. Does medi-cal also pay for your labs etc. I know Novartis will pay for Gleevec for those who can't pay but I worry about having labs done etc if I should lose my insurance. Thanks Chi From: markostapiak <no_reply > Subject: [ ] How do you pay for your medication Date: Wednesday, December 24, 2008, 11:06 PM I take 800mg of Gleevec/day.
