Guest guest
I've had a real problem with dry mouth for about two years. My dentist told me that it can lead to increased tooth decay. I had three cavities all at once, but haven't had any sense. I wake up in the middle of the night with my mouth very dry. I try to keep a glass of water by the bedside. I think it's a side effect of the Gleevec. A friend of mine in dialysis recommended the medicine Oral Balance by biotene. I bought some, but haven't tried it. You simply squirt it into the mouth. Gay Bratton [ ] Dry Mouth I just came back from the dentist and wow, I've got a bit of a mess brewing. The dentist figures it's from " dry mouth " . When I wake up in the morning my mouth is like the desert - absolutely bone dry - and that's with the use of a CPAP machine with moisture. I drink about 4 - 8 oz glasses of water when I get up just to get some moisture. Is anyone else going through this with the dry mouth? Also, when I exercise, walk or whatever I have to have water with me all the time because my mouth gets so dry. I'm anxious to hear your responses. Hugs, Judy P.
