Guest guest
Hi , I saw a neurosurgeon today and he doesn't recommend anything for my back, except to see another doctor he recommended me to. Seems he is also a neurosurgeon, but only works on the brain. I have a funny feeling that just when I think maybe things might get better, they get worse. I had to tie in with the woman, I have no idea what she does, but she didn't do anything for me. I asked for the address of the doctor and she asked me why I wanted to know. I should have told her it was a letter to write and complain about her attitude. So I called the other doctor back and spoke to his nurse and she said she is going to talk to the doctor after he finishes surgery late tomorrow. Meanwhile I can't make an appointment or make a move until I hear what my next step is. Anyway, he said the Xstop was not for me, that if I tried anything on that order, I could end up in a wheel chair a lot sooner. Oh wow, I am confused. The other thing which I had to laugh at, I asked the woman what kind of doctor this man was that I was referred to and she didn't know why I wanted to know, I asked if he was a surgeon, she said he wasn't and then I had the audacity to ask if he was really a doctor. She said he was a physiatrist. I asked her to spell it, but I already guessed and she said she had no idea. Now if she works in that office and doesn't know how to spell the name of his practice, she should go back to school. I said we had one in town, I didn't need to go to New Orleans and politely hung up. So that's where I stand. Glad your wife got relief, I'm still waiting for mine. Blessings, Lottie

It really didn't help her husband at all, moved out of place and he had to have it removed and then proceed to have a fusion done. My own spine surgeon no longer uses the x-stop because he has found it has too much of a tendency to move out of place and does not really have anything of value to hold it stable in place. He was well trained in the use of the x-stop as where his 2 associates and they have found that the majority of their patients had to have it removed and further surgery done to relieve the stenosis. I'm sure there are others that have had success with x-stop, but, the info I provided you is what I know personally and from my spine surgeons.
