Thanks for sharing the taste bud details, Sharon. I was wondering if it was

just a coincidence or not? Good to know the taste will come back, but can

I remember losing my taste buds altogether. I also lost my appetite and lost

a lot of weight. But it all came back.

Anyone on Sprycell have there taste buds be different once on Sprycell?

Mine sure seem different. Somethings I really enjoy, just don't taste good

and

am suddenly have a desire for other taste. Thank goodness it is for healthy

foods, juices. At first I thought it was a coincidence, not sure now, it

seems to be getting more and more pronounced.

I never really noticed taste/craving differences the two years on Gleevec.

OH, I can finally say the Sprycell head pain seems to be letting up, but

tired all the time, but am pushing myself.

I'm sorry I have no info regarding Sprycell as I take Gleevec.I

have noticed that my food no longer tastes good and nothing ever

sounds good either.Food is just Blag for me now.I have been on

Gleevec now for 8 months and I seem to be experiencing more and more

fatigue and diahrea(sp) as time passes my side effecy=ts are becoming

more intense and frequent.Not sure why but will ask on the 3rd of Feb

when I see my Dr.again.I am interested in hearing others responses

regarding this issue.

Sharon One thing I have found is what you eat at the time of taking the Gleevec.

I'm 3years one month taking 600 now.In the beginning I was real hungrey,had

diahrea now take one half diahrea pill works good.

thanks everyone for their taste bud change experience. i thought i was

loosing it, nothing i like I was wanting and suddenly things like raw bell

peppers to snack on were looking really good and appetizing! lol Oddly, I just

made a crock pop of chili last weekend and then some dirty rice last night, I

added more onion and bell peppers than ever, like a lot more. I think maybe it

is my bud's telling me they want to taste the food or something, either way,

my wife loves it.

My Granny is on Gleevec 400 and she says nothing tastes good. She has NO

appetite. She eats a little bit but, not much. Every now and then, she will have

a good appetite but that may be once a week. I thought maybe it was her age. She

is 81 and I know sometimes you will just lose your appetite with age. Maybe it

is the Gleevec.

Sharon, wow, your situation makes me appreciate not being able to taste

anything! The Sprycell transition has kept me in the bathroom, way toooo much.

Seems to come and go. The last two days I laid off juices and seems a bit

better. I cannot believe I wore through Gleevec so fast and now adapting to

Sprycell, but grateful for it, all the same, even with the reading room time.

I have Diverticulosis and IBS w/constipation.I take meds for

these.I usually suffer with constipation severly like B/m once a week

w/aide(sorry tmi). Now I seem to get diahrea but no rhyme or reason

to it..Doesn't seem to make a difference what I eat or don't eat .It

never happens with the same foods etc.Thought I had it figured out

but was wrong..I hate to take the Immodium stuff as I generally have

constipation so those pills make it worse.I wish I could figure out

what causes the diahrea.It just happens and no explaination as to

why.I'm a creature of habit and eat the same foods daily.One day I

can eat with no trouble the next day I will eat/drink the same food

and have terrible diahrea(10-20) bathroom episodes.ugh

Would be nice to figure it out.Hate the burning stomach feeling..

I had never had a normal B/M the whole 4 years I was on Gleevec and Sprycel.

Always diahrea. I took immodium. Since I started Tasigna I am back to

normal. I go more then usual but just in the morning. I love Tasigna and how

it has treated me so far.
