What do we need money for otherwise? Is it to pay for items at the garage sale?

I still need someone to cover the registration table on Sat. morning.

You'd have to be there by 9am, check people in, take their money, and hand

them their packet. Volunteers?

I also need someone to run the Ugly Soap Contest. It's not very difficult

and lots of fun. If you'd like to do this, please contact me immediately

and we'll talk about it.

If you haven't RSVP'd for Friday night dinner, please contact Amy Emm at

cnyscbwi@... right away. This will be a very casual pizza type of

dinner, but very delicious, from what I've been told.

Oh, and thank you for doing the Ugly Soap Contest! It's nothing too

involved or difficult and can be a lot of fun.

Are you able to make up a certificate possibly, with " 1st place, Ugliest

Soap, " " World's Ugliest Soap, " or something like that? Those who have

spearheaded the contest have done various things in the past, ranging from

prizes to certificates. I don't expect anyone to purchase anything for the

contest, though, which is why I suggested the certificate.

You'll need to set aside a little area at the site, perhaps with a sign.

Participants will give you their soap, which you'll sign in and then

assign each soap a number. Everyone at the gathering votes on their

favorite ugly soap. The idea is to keep ownership of the soap a secret

until the end.

assuming for fun.

I can try to do that but I am not so good with designs. I will give it a shot

though.

I would bring a tablecloth, a sign-up sheet and pen, a small pad of paper

to write the assigned numbers on for those entering the contest, and paper

enough for those voting to get a ballot. Oh, and a box for the ballots.

The certificate would just be for fun, but I might find something for a

prize. In fact, I have the perfect thing and I'll bring it. :-)

Can you make a sign? About 8.5 " x 11 " ? If you have an easel or a frame

with a support so it will stand up would be nice.

I will bring one of my daughter's easel with markers. It will do double duty for

the weekend! I hope that she won't make a fuss if I borrow it for the day!

I have a stand, yes, I figure out something for the certificate and can also

find some fun prizes as well on my side.

Can I still participate to the ugly soap contest? I have some ugly soap sitting

around!
