Guest guest
My kids love the Rite-Aid chewable Zinc and just found out it is actually made by GNC for private label by Rite-Aid. Guest guest
We give our son zinc once a day in the morning at this time. He's kind of off schedule since his choking on a pill incident. Cod liver oil is given with his enzymes with meals.
Guest guest
Can you give Zinc in juice? They say to give it before bed - any reason why to do it at that time? Guest guest
If I remember right, something about it not competing with the other minerals that are given or eaten throughout the day for absorption. We give ours in juice which is fine. Some people give zinc four times a day. As long as you can get it in them...mainly. > > Can you give Zinc in juice? Guest guest
You can give zinc in juice. Our son will only swallow capsules. He won't take it in liquid. I should have been more persistant when he refused capsules too after the choking incident, but since money was tight, I used it as an opprotunity to cut out half of his supplements. Now, we've added five things back and he's doing a little better. The humidifier is working wonders for his dry throat. I've been giving zinc in the mornings (my mornings/his evenings) his sleep awake cycles are different from mine. I used to give zinc every four hours during his wake cycle which means I have to wake up and dose him twice every single night. There is a tub of supplements and he would take them every four hours during awake times. I make up the supplements a week ahead of time in a pill minder. For a long time he was able to dose himself at night, and now he has lost that. It's back to standing over him and handing them to him and watching him until he's taken them. Our daughter takes all of her supplements in liquids which pretty much takes all day but we're getting faster at it. She doesn't take zinc because she has an autoimmune disorder, and zinc revs up the immune system.
Guest guest
I don't know about the juice. Our son just takes the pills. You take it at bedtime for better absorption. Guest guest
Hi , I didn't know there were different types. I bought it from Kirkman's and it says Zinc on the from of the bottle. It has a rasberry flavor with it. Is there somewhere else on the bottle I should look to let you know? Gail Original Message: ----------------- From: Shepard Salzer _Shepard@... Guest guest
> > I just starte reading 's second book and finished the section on > zinc and magnesium. I'd like to start my daughter on Zinc. What brands > are people using? My dd can swallow pills. I used zinc picolinate. Brand was Henry's [store brand] because it contained very few additives and fillers. My son did very well with Henry's brand for most supplements. Guest guest
Thanks , you are a real encyclopedia Briticanna of knowledge. I will put that on my list to ask the doctor to run a test on. I was also going to ask about hormones. Does anyone else have any suggestions I should check on. Thyroids are also on my list. Blessings, Lottie
