Guest guest
Are you giving the shower or are you making sun and moon soaps for the shower? At one shower I gave, I have made pink bread, used cookie cutters to make shapes (suns & moons) and make open faced sandwiches to serve. That makes a nice carry through of the theme. It seems like a trip to the party store might help with finding supplies to make things out of. Maybe you could find a fabric for a table cloth then either paint or applique your motif on the borders. Good Luck, Wyn
Guest guest
http://www.sagemeadowsundries.com/ has some great Mother / Baby molds ======================================================================= Hi, all I am in need of some ideas for a baby shower in an other month. The theme is stars and moons, so I will be making soaps like that, but how else can I decorate, or make it better? Any suggestions would be wonderful. Thanks in advance
Guest guest
Once for a baby shower, I made ducks and then used glycerine M & P to make a blue lake for them to sit on. I also have seen ducks in mini wash tubs. Since pregnant women are to be careful around essential oils, it might be better not to scent the soaps. Guest guest
Hang glittered paper stars and moons from the ceiling. You could make party favors in cupcake papers and decorate with a star or moon on them. If there is a Party Depot near you, they have lots of neat stuff usually for specific themes like this one. Good luck....sounds like it will be a fun party. Who is having/had the baby? Enjoy! baby shower Hi, all I am in need of some ideas for a baby shower in an other month. Guest guest
thanks, i remember that one, baby shower take white flannel or some white fabric, cut into small square, fold it into a triangle and pin with a tiny gold safety pin. this will look like a diaper folded and pinned in front. All of them will be plain inside except for one. In that one you will put a drop of mustard. Of course when they are all pinned you cannot see which one has the mustard . Put them all in a basket and as the guests arrive have them choose one. Sometime during the shower you tell all of them they can unpin the diaper ( forgot to tell you to tell them not to look inside until told to), and the one with the dirty (mustard) diaper wins a prize. We have used this many times and it has always been a big hit. Good Luck with the shower, sounds fun, Sandy
Guest guest
How did you make the ducks? Sounds like a great idea. Gladys
Guest guest
I found molds for the ducks in s craft store. The ducks were cute, a big hit, and fun to make. I wrapped them with yellow celophane and pastel ribbon (green, yellow, purple i think). I used a round half gallon ice tea bottle to mold the glycerine soap for the pond. I cut the soap in slices and then used a knife to cut the pond in kidney shape.
