Guest guest
You're welcome. You know we're with you 1000%! : ) " Nothing is more powerful for your future than being a gatherer of good ideas and information. That's called doing your homework. " -- Jim Rohn Thank you! Seattle Lady, jodijojo89, Lydia, Diane, , and Ticia: Thank you all so much for the kind words and advice. When I look at my habits the last few weeks, I never have completely given up on the BFL lifestyle, it has been hit and miss. I am done with the concept of " starting over " and " giving up. " I'm just hitting some roadblocks. I think it will be good just to do it even if I don't want to. It's just so frustrating because in the beginning it felt so good and it felt so natural. Thanks again you guys! Ruth

Guest guest
Wow, very unprofessional! Find another doc. Sharon Thank you! Everyone for your support and information. It really, REALLY made me feel better to read that maybe I AM a good mother after all. I plan on fighting for my daughter and her health. I realize that I'm on my own in this, that my ex seems to think there's no big problem. Though everytime I call over there she is screaming in the background. I had to call him tonight to come get her because she was totally out of control, screaming, hitting me, throwing things. She NEEDS help!!! I am going to send a mail to that psychiatrist, including links. I am so disappointed that she actually told me to drink a beer to calm down. That should NEVER EVER be an alternative! Telling people to use alcohol to relax. I have been sober for 4½ years and I had told her AND written that. Nothing like telling a recovering alcoholic to have a beer! HAHAHAHAHA Thank you again, you are all amazing!!! Hugs, --------------------------------- Stava rätt! Stava lätt! s stavkontroll tar hand om tryckfelen och mycket mer! Få den på http://se.mail. Guest guest
And the most important piece of advice, which you probably already know, do not accept a bad fit. Make them make it right for you. One tiny angle adjustment determines whether I can use my right hand. The size of the ball on the joystick determines how well I drive (who knew they were interchangeable?) The lean in the cushion determines whether I get a pressure point or a shoulder ache. Etc. Etc. PS. The Quickie tilt system I had was a serious lemon. Have better luck with the Invacare. It's only broken once!

Guest guest
You have just taken the first step on a wonderful journey of discovery and fun! You will have LOTS of advice so I dont feel badly jumping in with some now..lol...relax and have some fun for awhile. One rule of thumb is 1 month of unschooling for every year of public school. We did not follow that but I can see where it would be benefitial for alot of families. Just exhale and have fun with your little one. Thank you! I just wanted to thank all of you to make me feel safe and giving me the confidence to withdraw my spn from school om Friday (I will officially do the paperwork at the Board of Education in my county on Monday. I don't know very much but have been so impressed by those of who expanded my mind and taught me that homeschooling has many different types. I had no idea, had never heard of deschooling, unschooling, radical unschooling and alternative holistic schooling. I, like so many others always thought that homeschooling was done one way and I had to follow the Florida curriculum. So thanks to all of you who have made this move before me and are able to help me walk through it. Judie

Guest guest
Billie: I loved when you wrote that your sprouts died a stinky death. made me laugh out loud. I LOVE to laugh out loud. I also probably will be throwing away my Liquid kelp. I don't have any plants or anything else to put it in so why keep a 2 year old un-refrigerated bottle of anything (unless it's honey), in my cupboard. So probably later on, I'll toss it. I see no other need for keep it unless someone provides me with one. lol Melody > > > > > > For answering my post and inspiring me! Guest guest
Melody, you are a great Sprouter. I learn so much from the different topics you and others discuss on this group site. Suggestion: As EW said, the kelp is not bad, it's just better for plants that you want to grow BIG! Maybe you can donate the Kelp to your friends who grow all the tomatoes to make the tomato paste each year. You see, we are reading your posts, even if we don't comment. This is a great service to all of us sprouters out here! Thank YOU for all the information that comes our way via the discussions! I loved the info about the " enzymes " (most informative). This group keeps me sprouting for my family's health and well being! Keep talking about sprouts! Guest guest
I AM a great sprouter aren't I?? lol lol lol I shall go merrily along with my sprouts. Right now, I am going around the corner with my grounded up fenugreek to give to my friend (she makes tea) who LOVES my sprouts and other things I give her. She's trying to bring down her blood sugar also. But she eats the most horrible tasting stuff and she goes " who cares, as long as it's good for my diabetes!!! love her lol Melody > > > > > > > > > > > > > > For answering my post and inspiring me! Guest guest
I use kemp or linen bags for my sprouts and you need to soak sprouts overnight to start them off (which I think you do for trays anyway). This is an excellent time to add liquid kelp, as Sproutman says, to increase the nutrient value. So DON'T throw away your liquid kelp! I also use it in the water I dip the sprout bags in and they don't need extra rinsing, so the kelp would stay on the sprouts. > > > > I used the Liquid Kelp and I must have used too much because my sprouts all died a stinky death...so I don't use it anymore... > > Billie
