Guest guest
Hey gang- Haven't been on for a while but read messages. I need some advice and hope ya'll have it today. To bring you up to snuff on me, I am on Syprcel 100mg a day taken at night. I am PCR undetectable at this time. I have had what I'll call a rash to the left side of my face for about 3 months. Mild in nature. Itches and turns bright red, more so when I get hot or body temp heats up. It was able to be under control with use of hydrocortisone cream and ointments. It has slowly traveled up along my hairline to my forehead and to the right side of my face. I went to the doctor last week and he instructed me to see a dermatologist, which I had already set up an appointment just cant get into them until the 8th of Jan which is why I went to the primary doctor. He wasn't going to do anything about it until I questioned if it could be shingles? He said it hadn't crossed his mind until I brought it up but decided it could be and put me on valtrex. Besides taking the biggest pills I have ever seen in my life, it does seem to have faded it out a little bit BUT I now have very red and itchy side of my eyes, the underneath of my eye is extremely puffy to they point that I can now see it in my vision line and its driving me crazy. I woke up this morning and my other eye is starting the redness. This itches extremely bad and the redness and swelling is crazy. Does that sound like shingles? or does it sound like an infection? I guess you could probably get one from the other right? I guess I will call and get back in today but I was wondering if this is related to the sprycel or just something caught from the compromised immune system? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for your help!
