Guest guest
Oh wow. Three of 'em! Hope the rebatches go well. I've been there. I've noticed that the fairies prefer iced tea. ;-) Beth Byrne http://www.SoapAndGarden.com Garden goodness in every bar! www/SoapandGarden.blogspot.com Like Soap and Garden on Facebook & Twitter On Sat, Apr 7, 2012 at 12:33 AM, Kimber@... < kimber@...> wrote: > ** > > > I've got a lock on the soap fairies here tonight... > > Weeee!!! Guest guest
I think you are right. Iced tea unless it is after midnight and before 2am. ;-) I feel a little better about it all today. I think adding the 4% cetyl alcohol did me in. The formula was a mover before that tweak. I'm to add some black pepper EO and possibly come Cardamom and call it Tahitian Midnight. -------------------------------------------------- From: " Beth Byrne " <bthbyrne@...> Sent: Saturday, April 07, 2012 1:20 AM < > Subject: Re: soap freely ladies... > Oh wow. Guest guest
well your rebatch isn't as bad as my mishap. I had to TRASH 8 lbs of soap. They were cucumber mellon for a bridal shower that i had to do. Needed 75 bars so decided to do 1-8 lb batch and another 2 lb batch. I screwed up my calculations and somehow measured 54oz lye. YUP. I thought it seemed extreme. then when It started to trace it happened really quick, didn'tnotice the error til I went to measure everything for the 2 lb batch. noticed something was way off with the lye. FUN TIMES. thats what I get for allowing family in the house while soapin. > > I've got a lock on the soap fairies here tonight... > > Weeee!!! Guest guest
Oh no, you should have had a clue when you were measuring the lye.
