Marcos, here is an undated article on the Eiffel towel restaurant:

Fodor's Review: This building, one of the more unusual in the city, occupies

the intersection of phine Street and St. Avenue. Each piece of the

original restaurant inside the Eiffel Tower in Paris was shipped here and

carefully reassembled in 1986. Today, it houses the Cricket Club, a supper club

run by the Culinary Institute of New Orleans, whose students man the kitchen.

The club hosts cooking demonstrations, has an on-site bakery, caters, and can be

rented for special events.

This article is dated March 6, 2000

The Red Room is a New Orleans nightclub that was originally part of the Eiffel

tower from 1936 through 1981. French officials discovered that the tower was

sagging under the restaurant's weight, so the second story was disassembled into

11,000 pieces, shipped to New Orleans and re-built on St. Avenue in the

old money Garden District. Over the years this unusual building has housed

several different restaurants and even a catering business, but none were

sucessful for long. There's an unspoken sentiment in New Orleans that any

restaurant not on the ground floor is doomed to failure, and for a long time the

building never captured the hearts and wallets of sophisticated New Orleanians.

Reborn in 1998 as the Red Room, this orphan chunk of 19th Century French

architecture offers diners an uneven experience at best.

Written by an unnamed critic. I don't know if it would be recognizable to you

in its present state, but the last time I saw it, it was empty and used for

weddings and special events. The City of New Orleans is very interesting and we

have glorious restaurants that dot the city, and they are not all in the French

Quarter. As for rude drivers, they are present everywhere.

Well what about those abs snapshots? The women would love to see it.
