Guest guest
Thanks Tamar, The therapist I use is in Denver, Dr. Margaret Friedman (child psychologist), 303-855-2800. This is 60 miles from Colorado Springs. We hadn't been doing CBT because my daughter has multiple disorders and OCD seemed to be more in the obsessive thoughts and less in compulsive rituals. She also has Tourette Syndrom, Sensory Integration Disorder, and ADHD. At times they all seem to take their prominence in her life. All along, the experts who have worked with her suspected some kind of psychotic undertones and paranoia, but we were'nt able to isolate it until this summer. So I don't know the course of her future therapy, since it appears more medication needs to be attempted first. It may reach a crisis status if not, because as she gets older and the intensity of her aggressive attacks increases, she is more and more in danger of someone charging her with assault. Thats what i have to concentrate on now. Some other Denver psychologists that I have heard do CBT are Carl Kuhlman, 303-628-0677; and Quinlisk, 303-233-8110. Both are in Denver. If I can find any more resources I will let you know. Jay in Colorado
