I am in the pest control bus. Don't handle chemicals a lot but was

wondering if that could have had any link to the cml. I still work on

gleevec and am in remission. Need to work. dr didn't seem

concerned. Not paranoid but just overthinking things now .

I know what you mean--I always wonder WHAT might have caused this. I

used a very heavy duty yard chemical about 20 years ago

called " Crossbow " and I remember I got some on my hands and was very

concerned. My dog has since died of liver cancer (possibly related to

this chemical exposure???) and I always wonder if it was the type of

toxin to lead to chromosomal mutation? I have never had radiation

exposure, never exposure to drycleaning chemicals, but yard chemicals

for sure. We'll probably never know, and the great thing is that we

have Gleevec and other drugs to keep us going and healthy.

I am working full-time too, it really helps me--it is therapy as well

as a livelihood.

Happy New Year, and Good health to all and to all a good night!!

Vicki

PS Special wishes, blessings and prayers to Lottie and any other

members of this group who are sick. I myself am recovering from a

doozy of a URI and watching it snow outside, which is awful since I am

at work, south of Downtown Seattle, and I live 20 miles north of

here. I am dreading the drive home. We just got through one big

snowstorm, and it looks like we are getting another snifter tonight!

Well, Good night, and may God bless us, every one!

Hi: Anything is possible to pick-up these days as you know. As far

as the Leukemia, I wonder if we will ever know. Glad your in

remission, and that is what I concentrate on. They say Leukemia is not

inherited, but yet on my fathers side his mother and sister both died

of Leukemia many years ago. You cannot help if there was a connection

there. My grandmother chose not to do anything, and my Aunt was in

blast phase before they even found it. I just trust God everyday, and

pray for a cure. Take Care

Suzzie
