Hello Sprouters:

Here is an open letter to Val Archer, the one who

advertises plans how to make an automatic sprouter

cheaply. I told you folks I'd give a report on that

sprouter when I got it up and running and I told

someone else I'd give a report on the EasyGreen if I

ever got one.

As you can see from my letter to Val, although hers is

great, the EasyGreen is much better. BTW, if anyone is

interested in buying an EasyGreen someday I'd

appreciate it if you contacted me.

Besides, being a better design than Val's sprouter,

you can put the EasyGreen anywhere. It is not

dependent on a water line. You simply top off the

reservoir every day. Put it anywhere where there is an

outlet. I use the waste water to water my house

plants.

On Val's web site gogreen.org, she emphasizes how

" noisy " the EasyGreen is. I just had to find out for

myself. Here is my letter to her and her letter below

it that helped prompt it.

Hi Val,

Well, I made another of your sprouters (Wrap 'n Craft

size) and hooked it in with the original. I think it

is great. This gives me lots of room for many more

sprouts, especially wheat grass. However, it does lay

down too much water for some seeds. I'm sprouting bird

seed (millet) and they are waterlogged. My timer is

set for 3 minutes every four hours. In one sprouter

this produces 2 gallons of waste water in 24 hours.

That's 24 minutes worth of water.

I didn't believe you that the EasyGreen was as bad as

you said so I bought one. It is much better than

yours, not cheaper, just better. I don't know how you

could possibly say that the mist is just as fine! The

EasyGreen uses 2-3 quarts (not gallons) of water in 24

hours and it on for 3 hours! total. I wonder why you

said the mist is just as fine. No way.

Plus I notice that my wheat grass is growing about

twice as fast. It must be the extra oxygenation.

About the way you advertise your sprouter, I notice

that you have copied many things from the EasyGreen

people. How to set up trays, size of holes, even

starting out with a plastic water jug to catch waste

water but one gallon was not big enough (but since it

was with the EasyGreen, you thought you'd try that)

etc. etc. This is fine. I have no problem with passing

on good information. The problem is that you bad mouth

the EasyGreen company, and at the same time use many

of their ideas.

I have a suggestion. Why don't you just say that your

sprouter is very inexpensive compared with the factory

made one, and it does the job? You may want to mention

that misting is quieter with yours but I think you've

blown the noisiness of the EasyGreen way out of

proportion. Of course it is not as quiet because it

has a blower with it. The blower cools and oxygenates

the sprouts better. That must be why my wheat grass is

growing much better. Bad mouthing another company's

sprouter in order to promote yours does not serve you

well. I might never have bought an EasyGreen if it

weren't for your negative advertising of it. For that

I thank you.

Sincerely,

Marilyn

Dear Marilyn,

Hip Hip Hooray! You expressed my sentiments and feeling about the

sprouter Val Archer is selling(really touting) and the feeling the she

tries to build up her product at the expense of another that is equal or

better. You are certainly the advocate for justice and quality.

EVERYONE BE WARNED! VAL ARCHER'S PRESENTATION HAS MANY FLAWS! iN HER CASE

" CAVEAT EMPTOR " .

Thanks,

TeeJay

I have a problem with another automatic sprouter which is the

Miracle-Sprouter, which is hydro-circulatory one. The problem is that

the manual is in Korean, even the web site. Therefore, I am just

trying to guess how is the best method to use it. The first time I let

it to work all the time - I mean the sprouter is spreading or

sprinkling water all the time so the result was good but not

miraculous as the sprouter's name claims. So I tried another way of

stoppoing it for a while to let the seeds or sprouts to breath and

take break :) - so the result was good .... but I have this bad trait

of following the book [manual, instructions rules etc...] by the

letter. So please could anyone help me.
