Guest guest
Dear Judy L, Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us, it directly correlates with my post of yesterday about seeing an oncologist who would be willing to allow you to see someone who is more experienced with CML and its protocol, and voluntarily recommended that you get a bone marrow test run on a fresh sample. It was your lucky day when you found that doctor, who had your best interest in his sights. I am sorry that you have been diagnosed with brac2. Our Jackie had the same diagnosis and opted to have the surgery, as it ran in her family. Facing a double mastectomy is an equally troubling decision to make and I know you will not do it without a lot of thought and advice from the experts. I had a friend with breast cancer, and she chose to see a general surgeron. He botched up her surgery and she had to seek another doctor from another city who specialized in breast surgery. If it is possible to find such a doctor, I would get his opinion, too. You can never have too many positive opinions. Whatever you decide, I wish you the best of luck and you will heretofore be in my prayers for the best possible outcome. Blessings and lots of hope, Lottie
