Guest guest
Inday, I was terrified when the doctor called me to tell me I had CML in April of 2005. I started taking Gleevec, and I have been taking 400 mg. a day since then. The side effects have sometimes been difficult -- nausea, sleepiness, fuzzy thinking, bone pain -- but I have found ways to deal with most of them, and I have a full, real life. I am 58, until recently employed at a job I loved (I got laid off), the mother of three grown, wonderful children. I have activities and friends I cherish. This group has helped me through so much, and is a source of joy, wisdom andrip-roaring humor in addition to some of the most solid information you'll find anywhere. in San Francisco From: lotajam@... I think it would be a good idea for everyone to post a note to let Inday and her husband know how long we have been acquainted with CML. I am a CML survivor. I was diagnosed over twelve years ago and have been in 5 different trials. I truly believe that I am here today because of support groups who helped me get over the rough spots and gave me hope. I have met in person quite a few of the people that I first met online and we are still buddies. We have other things to talk about besides CML, because now we know we can live a truly blessed life even with CML. Blessings to you and your family, Lottie
