Guest guest
Dear Terry, Thank you for sharing your positive information with us. Yes, there are many who are not able to tolerate Gleevec, but the majority are and for them it is fantastic. For those who are on anti-depressants, there are many, so if any do not work or cause side effects, there are substitutes. I remember one day my brother in law told me he felt like jumping out of the window. It startled me, because he never acted depressed before and I worked with him every day for 23 years. I called his doctor and told him what BIL had said and he told me to get him to the office immediately. Before that, I called a pharmacy and asked how many different anti-depressents there were and he said about 100, so I knew then that there was probably one that would help him. The doctor did prescribe another brand, and from that point on, he said he felt so much better. For every drug that we find we have side effects, there may be one that you don't know about which would be your salvation. There is a website that informs you about drugs that have side effects and what drugs have a contraindication. If you have questions, call your pharmacist. Blessings, Lottie
