Guest guest
- I think I know what he was talking about. I broke my neck & back in a car accident in the early '90's and suffered from migraines for years. One day I woke up with a slight " throb " in my head - took a couple of Tylenol and as the day went on there was no pain but I had all the classic migraine signs. I was in the van, driving the kids down the road after school when I realized that things I was looking at were wavy, as if they were undulating, oncoming cars looked like they were " shimmering " - like you see heat waves coming up off of the pavement on a very hot day, and looking through them will see things shimmering in the heat. I was also squinting as I drove, even wearing sunglasses, because the day light was getting to my eyes, like it will when you have a migraine. By the time I got back home, I was throwing up. All classic migraine symptoms that I had experienced a thousand times before, just this time no pain. Weird, I know, and that happened to me twice in my life. Scared the beejezus out of me, LOL. Guest guest
Yes, ocassionally I will get funny vision and feel "off " with no head pain. Since I've been getting reg. chiro adjustments, I have not had many episodes at all in the past 2 years. Before, I was getting terrible migraines every 2 weeks or so with horrible pain and extreme tiredness. Sometimes I do get a slight migraine with the tiredness and a little pain and always starts with a sort of flashing in one eye. ) Connie Connie Young, LMT www.LostRiverNaturals.com Organic~Herbal~Handcrafted teas, bath and body care and more $35 one hour massage! Guest guest
Yes. Migraines do not always affect pain receptors and sometimes only affect vision. Even more rarely they can affect hearing, smell, and taste. Guest guest
First time I saw my husband with a migraine I could not believe people actually got that sick from a headache! He called and asked me to come over because people were dropping by for various reasons and he couldn't handle walking to the bathroom let alone the door. When I got there he opened the door entirely covered from the top of his head to the floor with a dark, heavy blanket. I never saw him again until about 24 hours later when he emerged from the back bedroom. He gave up all dairy products and has never had another migraine. Guest guest
I got migraines when my wisdom teeth were coming in (turns out they were growing in sideways towards my ears) and I just lay in a completely dark room. Any noise or movement sent me to the bathroom to throw up..... and sometimes sleeping on one side of my head would have the same result. Sure don't miss that feeling. Brock was 2 at the time and normally there are no sick days for me, he'll never give me a break. But on those days he just sat by me and occasionally rubbed and kissed my head or tried to feed me his crackers.
