Guest guest
We know how to trim, Shari (Evie and me)…just some posts are sent through some email software that doesn’t allow trimming. I can never trim Kathy’s posts, and have been having trouble with Suzi’s lately…just juggle it around until I can get it. But some you can’t trim at all. They’re inside a text box and when you try to delete some of it, you delete the whole thing. Sharyn From: health [mailto:health ] On Behalf Of SV To trim a post, hit " reply " , go to the body of the message and click. Then do " ctrl A " and highlight everything and then hit " delete " or " ctrl d " . If you want to save part of the post, just go below it and highlight everything else and then delete. Guest guest
Interesting because I don't seem to have any problem with trimming any posts. Being selective about what gets trimmed sometimes eludes me, but if I go from the bottom up and highlight, then it seems to work better. Or if I do it in segments, highlight and delete a few lines at a time it seems to work on difficult posts. Shari
Guest guest
That’s what I’ve been doing with Suzi’s…the segment thing. But I can’t trim Kathy’s at all, which is too bad because she often sends interesting things and I don’t even save them because I can’t trim them. I haven’t tried the “bottom up” thing, though…will next time.<G> Sharyn From: health [mailto:health ] On Behalf Of SV Interesting because I don't seem to have any problem with trimming any posts. Guest guest
I have no idea why you can't trim my posts... I use plain old Windows mail running on Vista- (thats probably why I hate Vista) Kathy RE: trim a post Or just answer from the home site. Guest guest
I'll try it with all the extra buttons - but I didn't have to do that to trim this post - just highlighted (with the mouse) what I wanted gone and hit delete. Ev - who wants all technology to be like Star Trek - walk into the room and announce what you want. bada bing, bada boom! done! To trim a post, hit "reply", go to the body of the message and click. Then do "ctrl A" and highlight everything and then hit "delete" or "ctrl d". If you want to save part of the post, just go below it and highlight everything else and then delete. Shari - who I think just sent an empty message before this!
