I think it may depend on whether it is a salt water algae, or fresh

I believe it is the difference in the types and where they are harvested...

A good site to learn about the different types is http://bodyecology.com/07/08/30/8_healthy_seaweeds.php

Hello,

Can anyone tell me why some seaweeds are so salty, such as wakame, for instance, and others are not?

Thanks,

Rena

What's the difference?

Don't they belong to the same family?

"I think it may depend on whether it is a salt water algae, or fresh water algae."
