What I liked about her classes was she'll send a lesson once or twice a week, and you can get to it when you get to it! Much of it is reading, particularly in the beginning. Unless she has changed things, you'd need to get the Miranda Castro book, " The Complete Homeopathy Handbook " , but of course she'll let you know if you sign up. Meanwhile, Henry and I have (once again! last time got interrupted with his work schedule and my shoulder surgery) started Tai Chi classes! Yay! Guest guest
I think I'm going to do it, Ev. I haven't taken a homeopathy course in a very long time, and I'm probably a bit rusty. And I've had that Miranda Castro book for a gazillion years. It helped immensely when I slipped on a wet tile on our front porch (thank you, Fay!) and went down hard...(homeopathy, not the book<G>)...luckily, I fell in slow motion so was able to maneuver my body so that I landed on the sides of my forearm and calf before my butt cheek hit and I didn't land on any bones at all. I took Arnica immediately (and a couple of times since) and put Arnica gel on the bruises...my chiropractor couldn't believe just how well I did after the fall. And you can barely see the bruises. Have fun with your Tai Chi classes...the only time I tried that I made it about two weeks and my knees gave out on me. 8-( Sharyn -----Original Message----- From: health [mailto:health ] On Behalf Of It's usually 3-4 months, depending on holidays and the like. (Who's Fay, and why did she wet your porch tile)?! luckily, I > fell in slow motion so was able to maneuver my body so that I landed on > the > sides of my forearm and calf before my butt cheek hit and I didn't land on > any bones at all. And you can barely see the bruises. ~~~~~~Pffft. I can't imagine falling slowly enough to change the outcome! Me? I'm on my feet (or my horse) and then? Then I'm waiting for my ears to stop ringing from the impact. It only seems slower in retrospect. But I've used that book two or three times when I got a headache that just wouldn't go AWAY!! Whatever remedy I figured out at the time, 30c in a glass of water [succussed or shaken, not stirred!] and the headache was gone within 30 minutes. > > Have fun with your Tai Chi classes...the only time I tried that I made it > about two weeks and my knees gave out on me. 8-( > > Sharyn Aiee! Don't let THAT stop you! Our 91 (92 in October) year old Auntie has been taking it for several years, is now, in fact, teaching a class at the senior center where she lives, and has had to do it from a chair sometimes due to her sciatica acting up. If you get motivated to try again, TELL YOUR INSTRUCTOR what has happened in the past. Just about nearly anything can be tailored and adapted to suit your needs - Tai Chi is no exception. (Go long enough to learn some moves, and then do them in your pool, for instance). Ev
Guest guest
Tropical Storm Fay, thankyouverymuch. She dumped over 12 " of rain on us over the course of four+ days. We drained 4 " out of the pool -- twice -- and still need to do it again. The surrounding areas were flooded and declared an emergency. Lucky for us, we live 26' high on a hill of sugar sand, so water just pours through and disappears. I've had a headache since Fay came through...change of air pressure, then I swear my brain did a wobble in my head when I fell. I totally forgot about homeopathy for it! ::blech:: Ooohhhh, I could do Tai Chi in the pool! Never thought of that! Thanks! Sharyn, very glad Gustav seems to be going *elsewhere* -----Original Message----- From: health [mailto:health ] On Behalf Of ~~~~~~Yowch! Guest guest
Oh Sharyn, I think I am even more glad that Gustav seems to be going elsewhere! lol Fay came right over us...glad it was just a tropical storm because I didn't bother to shutter my house...if Gustav decides to come this way...by the time he gets here he probably will grow in strength. We have a lot of flooding around here so we sure don't need any more rain. Guest guest
Sheri isn't on this list. As an "alumnus" of her past classes, I get emails from her notifying me of classes coming up. I cross-posted to this list - if you go back and find the original post you can find the contact information. Blessings, Ev Sheri, Are you in Seattle?
