Guest guest
There is a food company named Ezekiel 4:9 that makes tortillas from the sprouted grains you have listed. They also make breads and pasta from the mix. I eat a lot of them; they are excellent. I get them at the health food store (I have no financial interest in the brand). _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of magnolia filbert Sent: Wednesday, March 08, 2006 2:20 AM Subject: all 9 essential amino acids in these grains Take wheat and barley, beans and lentils, millet and spelt. Put them in a storage jar and use them to make bread for yourself. Ezekiel 4:9 written 580 b.c. When these six grains and legumes are combined, a complete protein is created that closely parallels the protein found in milk and eggs. It contains all 9 essential amino acids. The body cannot manufacture these amino acids itself, it must get them from food. There are a total of 18 amino acids found in this bread which is not only a source of complete protein but it also contains vitamins, minerals and fiber with absolutely zero saturated fat. --------------------------------- Bring photos to life! Guest guest
For those who are too busy to cook a lot, those Ezekiel Sprouted tortillas are excellent with a bit of raw hummus and a huge pile of sprouts! Make lots of hummus ahead and freeze it and keep the tortillas on hand in the freezer. Not even Mcs can make a faster meal! ;-) --- Bob Winstead <rewinstead@...> wrote: > There is a food company named Ezekiel 4:9 that makes tortillas from > the > sprouted grains you have listed. Guest guest
Maybe (your reference below) it was copy -pasted. I don't recall. But I have no problem with saturated fats. Look at the Eskimos. They have lived on whale blubber for eons.Whats really harmful is the trans-fats from hydrogenated oils because they have a trans-plastic isomer. This does not " burn off " like saturated fat will. Also cottonseed oil is not good. Cotton is not considered a food crop and is often heavily sprayed with pesticide. It can be found in the contents of many boxed and processed foods. But I know you all are a savvy bunch and I am probably mnot telling you anything you dont already know. Marilyn Kefirlady <marilynjarz@...> wrote: You make it sound like saturated fat is bad.
