Guest guest
I see your point - about leaving the dads out and about wearing jewelry. You made me think of a conversation at work about things that ruin a good presentation. Someone said they thought wearing too much jewelry when giving a presentation was a distraction. My reply was, " Is that possible? " (To wear too much jewelry - ) When I look at the symbol though, I don't really see a 'mother' because it's really abstract but rather, I see a 'parent'. Anyway, since I'm so new to this OCD world and have just begun to experience how it affects every family member's life, perhaps I should leave this to the veterans who have been coping with this for so much longer. Take care and stay strong! > In a message dated 5/24/00 6:45:15 AM Mountain Daylight Time, > j.monnens@N... writes: > > << > While the mother and child symbol is beautiful, I don't feel that it > indicates > the struggles we go through as families battling OCD. I think she recently said her favorite necklace was the pasta one made by her daughter. Now if THAT were our symbol, I would wear it. I work in a blue collar profession, so no tie, no cufflinks, etc. But maybe a hat pin. (this is cowboy country after all).
