Guest guest
That's what me mum died of. Doc (medical!) told her to stop eating meat and drinking milk. Her reply? "I'm a Swede, I can't." She didn't and she died, but it did take them 10 years to figure out what was wrong, by then she was too old and too fat for a liver transplant. Her sister died of the same thing. Another reason I don't eat meat or drink milk. Up until 1987 they thought folks like my mom were "closet drinkers" because the disease mimcked cirhossis (sp) so very closey. Guest guest
> > Hi Bee and All ... I have been basically following the candida diet for more than 6 months now with some signs of improvement, I feel. I have recently sought help (due to extreme and unreasonable abdominal pain) from a colon surgeon. In his process of testing, I had a CT scan last week, which I saw the report for the first time today. The CT scan report said " Fatty Liver. " I know that that means unprocessed fat in the liver, and I've read that the cause of Fatty Liver Disease is not known. I should mention that this is non-alcohol related Fatty Liver Disease, as I do not drink alcohol. Please help set my mind at ease about continuing to eat lots of healthy saturated fat. I just need a little reassurance right now. I am not at all done with the medical testing yet, and my surgeon feels I may have a neurological problem, because he said that no colon condition, including IBS, can cause the kind of pain I've endured for years now. Thank you so much for your kind help in advance. > +++Hi there. Would you please sign your name to help us remember you? Thanks. So am I to assume your pain is in your liver? Saturated fats are very important for liver and gallbladder health. Saturated fats do not require stomach acid, digestive enzymes nor bile in order to be absorbed like other kinds of fats that get processed through the liver. They go from the small intestines through the lymphatic system directly into the bloodstream. See this article on Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease at the Weston A. Price Foundation: http://tinyurl.com/4xnob3p The article is very technical but the bottom line is that this program improves liver health because it provides all of the nutrients your body needs to heal and detoxify itself. However, if you've had this condition in the past your body will be retracing it as it heals itself as explained in this article, so you can expect to get the same pains and symptoms you had before: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal10.php It also takes 1 month of natural healing for every year you've been unhealthy or had a certain health issue. Say you had liver problems for 8 years, then it takes 8 months on this program for it to be healing. All the best, Bee
Guest guest
Thank you so much for your help and the link for info on fatty liver disease. This is just the encouragement I was needing! My pain feels like it's coming from my colon. The doctors I'm seeing do not know at this point what is causing my pain. The CT scan showed my colon to be fairly normal. I suppose it could be coming as referred pain from my liver or other place (my doctor wondered if maybe it was coming from my back, which he says he's seen over and over in his practice). Hopefully we will get to the bottom of what exactly is causing my pain this go-round. Typically, medical doctors have caused me a lot of grief over the years (mostly I try to avoid Western medicine). I am anything BUT a textbook patient and often leave doctors bumfuzzled about what's wrong with me and what to do about it. Had it not been for the unbearable pain over the last decade+ I would not be consulting them now, in fact. I am so appreciative of this website! Thank you again for your kind help. > > > > Hi Bee and All ... I have been basically following the candida diet for more than 6 months now with some signs of improvement, I feel. What is your name please?
