Guest guest
Hi Kathi, thanks, as you will see in my post to Deb, I have been wallowing in self pity (a first for me) I have lots of plans for getting back in the swing of things now that I have my little scooter to get me around. Right now, it is so cold out here, that it is impossible to even get from my front door to the car but today it is supposed to be warmer (5 below F.) almost balmy. Guest guest
Hi June, Glad you're back, but sorry about the failed ankle operation. Isn't it good to have this family to fall back on when we're feeling drained out? I tried another support group, but it seemed like it was just so much whining and no cheese--no support, no inspiration, no laughs (thank you Jan and others!) We need to be uplifted, not stomped on. This group is so good! Things will be difficult for our daughter, but actually, I think she has finally made the right choice. We tried so hard for 5 years to " make " this marriage work, all of us, and it was just a matter of trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Duane is a sweet man, and I will continue to love him, but she married him for all the wrong reasons. They are parting friends, and he and his brother will continue to work on their relationship while Ron and I go back to living our life as we should have been all this time. And now I am going to go watch the ice build up on the trees and hope that the predicted rain comes soon! Hoping you have some better days ahead too, Judi
Guest guest
Forgotten you?????? That is not possible. You've been with this group since it's inception, which is at least 5 years if not more. It made my day to see a post from both you and OK Kathi!!! I can fully understand you wallowing in self pity especially after an unsuccessful surgery. I'm really sorry it didn't go the way it was supposed to. I'm hoping you will elaborate on what was done and what results you got. I'm facing ankle surgery and I've been putting it off. I'm just not mentally prepared for such an endeavor. I hope your next ortho guy has something up his sleeve to make your life better. Everyone that has those scooters raves about them. It's great that you are enjoying it. I've also been on the quiet side since I started working part time. My house is also under construction and my computer area has been invaded. So sorry about your friend. I hope some of our lupus members can help you. I have a lupus page at the website, so you can also direct her there. a > Hope all of you have not forgotten all about me. Guest guest
Welcome back, dear June! Of course we would never forget you. I thought and wondered about you often. Your return is a very happy event! I'm saddened to read about your failed ankle operation. We would be most interested in what happened to your ankle, unless you are strictly opposed to revisiting the issue. a is having a lot of trouble with her ankles, and I'm sure she would like to know the scoop if you are ever up to sharing. Probably the most important question for your young friend to ask the rheumatologist is about what sort of experience with lupus patients he has. How many patients, current and past? And, if she is very bold, she can ask how the patients are doing. The answers given may be very revealing. a has a good section as part of her Web site on the first visit and communicating with doctors: http://rheumatoid.arthritis.freehosting.net/help.html Here are some tips about choosing and seeing a physician from " Lupus Around the World " : http://www.mtio.com/lupus/lfadrpt.htm These are excellent articles from the hospital for Special Surgery: " Doctor/Patient Communication " : http://rheumatology.hss.edu/pat/eduPrograms/myositis/drPatCommunication.asp " Questions to Ask Your Doctor About Arthritis and Other Disorders " : http://www.rheumatology.hss.edu/pat/specInfo/questions2askDr.asp " Doctor-Patient Communications: The Vital Connection " : http://www.rheumatology.hss.edu/pat/eduPrograms/SLE/DrPatComm.asp [ ] I'm Back > Hope all of you have not forgotten all about me. Guest guest
I've used Nystatin and I was ok with that. I won't use Diflucan because I had problems in the past with it, but instead I use Nystatin suppositories or Nystatin pills. They take longer to work than Diflucan, but I like them better. Guest guest
, You can have yeast problems almost everywhere . . . Here is a test you can do . . . http://www.victorie-inc.us/Threelac_Candida_Free_Test.htm I don't recommend Threelac as a rule though . . . it can help, but it doesn't have nearly the variety of organisms as Primal Defense or some of the other probiotics. First you need to kill off the yeast, then you need to resupply your body with healthy organisms. . . I'm happy to hear you are feeling better!
