Guest guest
MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!!! My daughter is here for the holiday, and she tells me she has recently learned that the little "mini carrots" are so treated with chemicals that everyone she knows who has heard of this has sworn off them. Anyone know anything about this? Because while the DH likes carrots and will happily eat them, and the betacarotene is good for his health concerns, a bunch of extraneous chemicals is NOT good for him, and I would avoid this if I need to. Appreciate any enlightenment... now go enjoy your day!!Blessings - Ev

Guest guest
I AGREE about not feeding baby carrots to dogs. SWITCH TO ORGANIC EVERYTHING FOR YOUR DOG, INCLUDING GETTING OFF OF CHLORINATED MUNICIPAL WATER. TOO BAD FOR EVEN A DOG! By accident, I failed to open a bag of mini carrots about one month ago, and they sat and spoiled almost immediately, forming a white puffy foam all around the entire carrot in about 2 1/2 days, and, as I recall, the bag was puffing out from the pressure of whatever chemical reactions had occured. I doubt that they are cut out of deformed carrots; that seems a little labor intensive for American Agribusiness. But I haven't had any since that " science experiment " gone awry. Guest guest
>I AGREE about not feeding baby carrots to dogs. ~~~~Dogs? Oh, my! I was actually asking for our human sakes! But since I don't feed commercial dog foods (in any shape or form), I expect I would want to know for them, as well - though they don't really know what to do with a carrot..... > > SWITCH TO ORGANIC EVERYTHING FOR YOUR DOG, INCLUDING GETTING OFF OF > CHLORINATED MUNICIPAL WATER. Still, rotten food is frankly gross, regardless of whether its original state was " natural " or ... otherwise. But thanks for responding - a fellow NMer! Hope your day is WONDERFUL!!!
