Grinding is fine and preferable for the oatmeal. You just have to let the

soap set up a tiny bit so it can support the particles. Then stir in the

oatmeal. Otherwise it will always sink to the bottom. Sometimes that's

not all bad. I make a bar that is lanolin on one side and oatmeal on the

other. It's good for dirty hands and the bottoms of your feet. Good luck

and keep trying. It's a rewarding hobby!!

You either need to let you M & P cool down b/4 adding oatmeal or

stir...stir...stir until it cools then pour into molds so it stays

suspended.

You can add up to 1 -2 Tbls of the ingred. that you used.

Hope your beeps aren't too serious Stacie, and think of this story to cheer you

up:

I know of one patient who heard his ICD beeping - it sounded more like a chirp.

His wife drove him straight away to hospital, though they noticed when they left

the house the sound couldn't be heard any more. The patient was admitted

nonetheless, but whenever the wife arrived home again she could still hear the

chirping. It was her smoke alarm warning of a low battery!

relax.Stacie. If you havent had the icd for a long period of time (over 6 years) the beeping is more than likely a feature so the doctors can detect things when implanting. it's been in for about 3 years my doctor said the last time she checked it it was low but was hopping it would make it to spring that is why this scars me so much i did contact medtronic have not heard back from thim but they did say the batty is probly dead

I think one way you could go would be to contact the Speech therapist

directly, about the size of the font on the icons. I used to take pictures of

Brook at school and the teacher actually used to ask me to bring my camera

and take pictures of the kids. No one ever mentioned confidentiality.

Also you can call the Calif. Dept. of Education if you have other

concerns regarding the photos and other things they are doing in the school.

They should welcome you unless they have something to hide. The number is on

all those IEP forms that they always have you sign.The Procedural Safeguards

one, I think.

Whoa !! Boy ! They're really messing with your mind . I wish I had

some answers for you , but this is totally something different of

what I've encountered . I hope you do get this solved . You know your

son and they should listen and respect your wishes . Good luck

with this issue . I know many schools would love to have a parent

like YOU , that is always willing to help their child and work with

It sounds to me like the teachers do not believe that has been to the

eye doctor and what the results were of the exams. Has the doctor sent a

report to the school? School nurse can request this info.

Size of the icons? Can't see where that would hurt---Content is still the

same. Bigger is better for me. I find with the sicker photos--I cna't see

them so we are not using them .

Perhaps if you go to the Thanksgiving feast the ST will there and you could

mention it to her.

If they have to have all communication stuff come through the SLP, then get

together with her ASAP to discuss your concerns.

If you feel like no one is really listening to you with the intent to

*hear* what you have to say (just placating you instead), then call the

person who supervises these folks and talk about how frustrated you are

trying to communicate the individual needs of your child with them.

I'd also ask them to return your icons. IF they lost them, make sure you

tell them approximately how much they cost to make and how many hours they

represent.

what about filing a state complaint to the state dept of

education...when i feel at wit's end and want action fast, i do

that...the first two times they blew me off, but now the principal

wants to settle before the state investigates...of maybe just mention

that you feel his educational rights and iep are not being followed

therefore the school is out of compliance according to IDEA code so

and so.... you would be surprised how quickly this can make some

schools scramble to get their crapt together quickly.... if you have

a good principal can you go to them???? i do like joans idea of

estimating how much it cost you and presenting it to them for

reimbursement.... i wish you tons of luck and hope things get

Oh gosh we all went through that when I had my knee surgery. It was a nightmare. Every single one of us in the extended family got it.. all ten of us and I was at our sons as my one daughter in law was trying to care for me post surgery. I was a mess. She got it and both the grandkids then my son. It was unbearable. [ ] Help!!!!!!! So remember how Greg was sick over the weekend? Last night 3 out of 4 kids got sick. This place is like the twilight zone. If I have to clean up any more puke I'm getting in my car and going to Jan's house. It's not too far and nobody will find me. Well, gotta go try to disinfect the house and shampoo some carpet. I just hope the school doesn't call and tell me is sick. Sharon

Thanks . We all survived and everyone is off to

school today. I think my daughter and I are made of

tougher stuff than my husband's kids and that's why we

didn't get sick. I don't know whether it's genetic or

the fact that and I are very active and they

are couch potatoes. Also I figure I'm on all these

anti-viral meds so nothing can get into my system.

Who knows, maybe we're just lucky.
