Guest guest
Hi Margaret- A friend of mine grates carrots and celery or zuccini or squash or eggplant...and puts it in lasagne. The sauce and cheeses hide it. Let me know how the bread works out. It is from a book called 365 Food Kids Like to Eat. recipe , a while back you sent out a recipe for flat bread. I am having such a time with my kids eating at all I just printed out your recipe and can't wait to try it. If anyone else has any nutricious recipes especially ones with hidden veggies. I would greatly appreciate it. I am seing about enrolling both and Greyson in to an eating disorder study class. It may be too expensive to send greyson as well but in the last 3 days he has eaten a few bites of a peanutbutter sandwitch, 1/2 piece of rye bread and 3 ritz bits and milk. so I am no getting desperate. Thanks Margaret w/ Greyosn and - 3 and annice -18 mos.

This is one I take to work for lunch. portion of steamed/nuked zuchinni or broccoli place in a container top with shredded portion of grilled/nuked chicken/turkey breast, then i use approx 2 tbls of classico's tomatoe-basil pasta sauce and finally sprinkle 1 tsp fresh parmesan cheese. for those who wish for more carbs then add a portion of brown rice. This takes about 5 min to prepare. and since I can't taste it looks and smells good. tell me what you think " Taz " _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
Guest guest
Grilled orange roughy with a baked sweet potato Grilled chicken with whole wheat pasta and a little low sugar pasta sauce Grilled chicken with steamed brown rice and salsa schmeered over all (schmeered is a culinary term) Scrambled whites or egg beaters in a whole wheat tortilla with salsa By the way, the Foreman grill is the single most used appliance in our house. We started with that one and have worked our way up to the family size. (I have 2 teenaged sons who eat 3 of everything.) It's very easy to clean. While it's still hot, you just squirt some water over it and wipe it with a paper towel. I have actually used mine 3 times in a day. << I have not been able to find whole wheat pasta in any grocery stores here. I've never been in a health food store that didn't sell whole wheat pasta either. The soup recipe sounds good. Guest guest
Hi , I've never microwaved chicken before, other than to reheat it. It sounds like you do it to cook a breast. How long do you do it, and do you do it in a dish, or wrap it in saran wrap? This sounds really good. Do you consider the pasta sauce your carb? Too bad about your loss of taste sense! (I guess it could be good though, as you wouldn't ever keep eating, just for taste!) R.
Guest guest
Hi Robin, I have been looking at that grill. Do you have the big or little one? There are only two of us, so I was thinking about the little one. Is it difficult to clean? I have not been able to find whole wheat pasta in any grocery stores here. Perhaps a health food store would have it. I also love scrambled eggs in a tortilla. I also like to put egg beaters into a pan and stir in some salsa and fat free cheese. After a couple minutes I turn the heat off, put a lid on it, and walk away for five minutes. The eggs puff up and it tastes like something really gourmet! Another thing I like is a whole wheat tortilla " schmeered " with a T of pizza sauce. I dice up some ham and a little shredded fat free cheese. Bake for a few minutes, fold in half and broil just long enough to make the tortilla brown - my version of a calzone! Ground turkey browned, can of your favorite flavor beans, can of tomatoes plus lots of spices makes a good soup. Rhonda Just finished: Memoirs of a Geisha - I liked it. It will be cool when it happens....Maybe next month when I do my typical drop....LOL Gotta love being a Woman... The recipe is wonderful. Here it is. Cinnamon clouds Melt 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon to taste(I like it real cinnamony!) Block of cream cheese Can of 10 big country or other big canned biscuits. Cut the cream cheese into 10 equal chunks(I usually make a lot and share with friends so I make 2 -8 oz blocks and cut mine in 12's as 10 is a lot of cheese) Dip the cream cheese squares into the melted butter and roll in the cinnamon mix. Flatten a biscuit and close it up in the middle of the biscuit round. Place it into a butter greased tin and when you get them all fixed, sprinkle the sugar mixture that is left on the tops of the " clouds " Pour a tablespoon or so of butter on each cloud and this caramelizes as it cooks and it like a sticky bun. Bake at 350 for app. 15 minutes. They are awesome as they are hot and creamy inside and cinnamon sticky on the outside. Another variation uses parmesan cheese instead of sugar and italian seasoning instead of cinnamon. Make it the same way. Is really good with marinara sauce! in Bama My story- http://hometown.aol.com/mdl1031/myhomepage/profile.html Pictures- http://f2.pg.photos./Melleedawn Surgery- RNY to DS revision on12/6 -377.5 12/17 - 346.5 ( minus 31lbs) 08/30- 281.1 (minus 96.1) BMI

So what > all do I need to make true perfume? ******************************************* HI Libby's post contained a lot of great suggestions to get you going. You might also consider getting Mandy Aftel's book Sense and Sensibilities which will start you off with some basics about solid perfume making. Solid perfumes are more " forgiving " and lend themselves to simpler formulations than alcohol based perfumes generally. Also, you don't have to worry about where in the world you are going to get perfumer's alcohol right off the bat! Mandy has some simple formulations in this book and basic instructions for solid perfume making. It will at least help you get your feet wet and go through the process of making a perfume. Then, if you decide it's something you want to pursue seriously as an art, you will need to do everything on Libby's list and I would highly recommend considering Mandy's Level One Workbook which she sells on her website : www.aftelier.com You can find some good suppliers for the materials you will need on the NP group site under the Links section. See " Suppliers " . Have fun! Patty ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Be a better pen pal. Text or chat with friends inside . Guest guest
Yum, thanks for posting the link, Reg! Looks pretty divine, even with the " yucky butter and garlic, " LOL! Shhhh, dont tell anyone! But I was craving some " old-fashioned " nachos the other day, and made them up with some Amy's salsa, refried black beans, unsalted Bearitos, AND here's the kicker....some grated cheddar! They were amazing!!! Of course, I'm still wondering what to do with the other half of the block of cheese sitting in the refrigerator, but wow! Sure glad I followed up on that craving! (It's getting cold here, the winter cravings are fun sometimes!) On the other hand, yesterday I bought some parsnips and made a really nice, sweet puree from just carrots and parsnips. Sauted some onion and ginger, and added this to the blender. Poured it all over millet, it was such a satisfying winter meal! Are you in the midst of your rainy season there in FL? Finals are finished for me, I'm so looking forward to these next few weeks, and using the time to absorb some new " recipes " so I can draw on them when the semester is back in session. Curious how we get stuck in food ruts! I feel like recipes give me such an edge over this stuck-ness...plus I got 's set of cooklets not too long ago and have only made a few things out of it... Hoping you and Marlie have a peace-filled, refreshing holiday! xxx h > > http://food./recipes/epicurious/105738/sauteed-turnips-and-parsnips-wit\ h- > rosemary > > Please excuse the yukky butter garlic and whatever else I don't approve of in the recipe. lol > > > Reggie >

Guest guest
Sewing, for christmas this year I decided to give handmade gifts where possible... I still have to get some of the fabrics, but have been trying to get the " deals " when they are here... for my 4 year old niece and 5-year old nephew, big hooded towels. (linen and flannel) for my MIL and dad's girlfriend, hand towels for the kitchen for Phil's dad's 16 year old daughter, a bag made from a recycled wool sweater and for a few random people, some fingerless gloves cut from the sleeves of recycled wool sweaters! not too fancy, not much, but fun to do! I've been wanting to sew more recently, it was fun to dig out my sewing machine... I'll try and get some pics up of Ari, some of them are in the other laptop. love and peace, Holly > > I know you were silly > All A's??? CONGRATS I'm proud of you.
