She is a lot much better. Yesterday she returned to her home after being in my home for 2 weeks. She found a good effect from drinking the water of young coconuts.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

It takes a while to recover (longer with age). It sounds like you are doing all the right things. Lots of fresh clean foods and water are great. Let her go at her own pace though. If you aren’t already, I would consider adding in some super foods like bananas, avocados, and/or blueberries to her daily diet. They are all packed with electrolytes and nutrients her body will be craving for a while yet.

Hello,

Is there any herb, fruit or vegetable that especially helps recover someone from dehydration?

the situation is this:

My mother got food poison a week ago. She's much better and all the symptoms: vomit, high fever, abdominal pain and inflammation and others have already vanished. However, she's still too weak and the doctor told her she's dehydrated.

I feed her fresh vegetables and fruits in different ways and combinations -- fruit blends, soups, just extracted juices, and of course water. She is already eating some vegetables and fruits also.

I would like to know if there is something else I can give her.

Thanks,

Rena

She has been taking acidophilus and bifidus.

I would like to find probiotics.

What brand and what kind is the best? Is better in liquid form or capsules?

I found some in little containers similar to yogurt, but with flavors.

Add good probiotics. That will help her digestion and the absorbtion of foods.
