Hey, I have a problem with what I think must be hot flashes. Since I have never experienced them before I can't say for sure. I've never heard anyone discribe them and so don't know if that's what I'm feeling. All I do know is I sweat soooo much. I can be sitting and doing nothing at all and I'll break out in a huge sweat and even have to change to a tank top from my nice warm soft comfortable flannel shirt. At this moment I am sitting in front of an open window in 38 degree rainy weather and in a tank top just to get myself to stop sweating. I'm 48 years old and in the stop and start phase with my period so I'm pretty sure I must be in the pre menapause (sp) state so far. So are these hot flashes or what? Can some of the older women on the list who have been through this before help me out with this? What was it lilke for you? If these are hot flashes what can I do to stop this awful sweating. I hate the open window and that awful cold air. I love all my flannel and fleece shirts and blouses and warm comforters on my bed. I have always been a "bug in the rug" type person and now I have to wear tank tops in front of freezing air just to stay comfortable. Please help? I can't stand this anymore. If something is in the file section for this please tell me and I'll go make it. I can't go to my GYN because Medicare only covers a visit there once every two years. My two years isn't up until July I think. Can you see me by July? I'll melt into a complete puddle. I can't belive I'm sweating while just wearing a tank top and yoga pants. The episodes are getting more frequent too. I want them to go AWAY!!! Any help would be appreciated.
