Guest guest
Hi everyone! Is there such a thing as non-bleeding natural colors? I need an Orange for both M & P and CP. Naturally I'm not expecting one to do both, but that would be a bonus. I've considered Alkanet Root and Tumeric but figure they might overpower the citrus EO I'll be using for scent. Bob Henninger and I have been playing lately with Liquid. Loads of fun! Rumor has it there may be an east coast producer of oil based M & P in the near future. Guest guest
Bob, in my experience, natural colorants do not bleed, nor do they interfere with scent. OTOH, citrus is a tricky one, so no promises, lol. Turmeric is kind of a yellow-orange and Alkanet purplish - blue in soap. Adding paprika would give you more orange but it is a potential skin sensitizer. Here is a site with good info. re: herbs and spices as colorants: http://www.mullerslanefarm.com/soapcolors.html East coast supplier for m & p? Is it you? Have you been seeing notices for the gatheirng?
