Why we don't use mineral/drug based laxatives

Talked with a woman who had a health problem, her peristotal (however

that's spelled) muscles no longer work. Despite heavy doses of conventional

laxatives she has a bowel movement once a month or so, sometimes once a month

and a half. Sometimes it goes systemic and she ends up in the hospital. A

number of years ago after she stopped nursing her bowels shut down.

Interestingly her son has the same condition.

I had no idea someone could survive that long without a BM. I thought

Dr.'s lower bowel formula or Dr.Schultze's intestinal cleanse #1 and

probiotics is a starting place, we didn't have time to do a full assessment so

what her diet/lifestyle/water intake is remains unknown. Thinking the whole

healthy lifestyle shebang makeover with a juice fast, liver cleanse, cleansing

diet, yoga poopassist exercises (yes, they and the chi kung folks have those),

and the lower bowel formula is going to be needed.

What ideas do you all have on this?
