That sort of detox/withdrawal needs medical supervision. The risk of seizures is not something to be taken lightly.

I wish her good fortune on her journey - she has not chosen an easy row to hoe.

Does anyone have any experience with this particular formula? What it is supposed to do and how it does it?

I have a friend that has recently quit drinking. She is in the "shakes and sweats" phase now. I thought about making her the Nerve Sedative formula, but ran across the Regen formula, and it piqued my curiosity.

Anyway, have a great weekend.

What about milk thistle or other liver cleaners? The sooner she gets that junk out of her system, the better she will feel. Tell her I said ATTAGIRL!

I agree.

However, she refuses to go to a doctor. Too many bad experiences is my guess.

When I went thrugh it, it was very bad. But I was the same way, would not see a

doctor. The worst passed, mostly anyway, in about three days. The tremors took a

while longer.

Is it possible to get permanent nerve damage, permanent tremors from it?

You're right, it is not easy. But if I could do it, anyone can.

I've suggested Milk Thistle. I still use it to keep my liver happy. I'm not too

sure her system could take a cleans right now, but after the worst has passed,

I'll discuss those types of options with her.

I'll pass your encuoragement on to her. Thanks!!

Check out the ingredients in this formula. When mu Ex was using it to stop

smoking, he said it also helped curb his craving for " alch " as well as helping

him to feel calm/at ease.

Maybe you can use one of these two as a starting point for a formula?

Or she can buy these already prepared, i have used his formulas myself with good

results. Love and prayers to your friend that she comes through this.

With all due respect (sincerely), finding the inner fortitude to go through

this process is NOT the same as being fortunate enough to do it safely,

physically.

I hope she is as lucky as you were. Not everyone is.

Milk thistle is not just a cleanse, it is liver support. It will help heal

her liver.

Gayla - and give her another ATTAGIRL!!!!!

I agree completely, Ev. And I am still speaking candidly with her about having

at least SOME medical supervision. Some people can drink heavily and quit with

minimal trouble. Some can drink socially and quit with massive issues that

require medical attention. Better safe than sorry.

And don't worry about me taking anything personally. I have a thick skin, and

besides, we're family.

As always,

Thanks, .

This is a very difficult issue, for both the participant and the observer.

Sadly, I have had far more experience than I'd care to, being the

observer/support person.

You are, unhappily, quite correct in noting that it's better safe than

sorry, and I hope your friend heeds your good advice. If she's been at this

for any length of time, however, it's important for you to realize that she

will NOT be thinking with a healthy brain, and therefore not making the best

decisions on her own behalf. What's hard for her support group now is

trying to be persuasive without pushing her away.

I wish the very best for her, and Thanks from the Universe to you, for being

there to help her through this.

More people die of alcohol withdrawl than drug withdrawl. I agree with Ev, she needs some medical attention. She is in dts. Delerium tremons.

You can't force someone to go to get medical attention if they refuse. I would try to have a stand by emergency doctor or health carre provider in case of emergency. That's about all you can do. Carry her comatose body to the car and speed to the hospital.

Too bad. And of course she can't think clearly now - things are jumbled up.

Sorry was gone this weekend... Nerve can regenerate... alot depends on the mind besides the herbs. Sometimes they regrow and take a different route... sometimes they don't regrow or revive. I would not go with this for your friend as there are other herbs better suited. Calming herbs are a better choice. I've not known anyone personally but I've heard stories of it working... I've also seen nerves regenerate by "power of the mind"
