Sheila, your situation seems rather typical. Fatigue is common to all liver disease, and the severity of fatigue doesn't necessarily correspond with the severity of liver disease. As far as food goes, my doctors told me to be sure to eat a balanced diet, including protein, and get plenty of good nutrition, as a damaged liver isn't able to process nutrients adequately. No special diet or foods would help. (People with severe liver disease must avoid protein, but that's another matter.) One doctor specifically told me this was not a time to diet, even though I'd gained a great deal of weight in the first month of high-dosage Prednisone. Another doctor said that exercise is always good, but not to wear myself out. Weight-bearing exercise, including walking, is helpful in fighting Prednisone-based bone loss. Two reference books easily available in the U.S. are by Dr. Palmer and by Dr. G. Worman. Harper

In Feb I was prescribed 40mg prednisolone and 50mg azathioprine daily. After 28 days the pred was reduced to 30mg daily.I have to go to the hospital every week for blood tests and so far everything is going well. I worry about my condition/illness and seem to have put my life on hold, if you know what I mean. Did this happen to any of you? I don't know if I'm eating the right food and although I'm tired, should I be doing some exercises. I've read the messages over the past 3 days since joining and the help and advice you give and the concern the group shows for each other is touching and heart warming. If anyone as any tips or advice I would love to hear from you. Regards to all and take care. Sheila.

I forwarded this raw cheesecake recipe to some friends in our raw food group here in NC and someone made it for our meeting last night!

It's ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!

And you can do so many variations on it you'd never get tired of enjoying it!

I'm going to add it to my next book on raw desserts too!
