Guest guest
!!! So i had to get to the bottom of this because I had met and spoken to the CFO at Grimmway farms about 5 or 6 years ago and he said they were small bred. So until I saw the posts today about the soaked stuff, i just assumed they were all the same. there is an Article here: http://www.usatoday.com/life/lifestyle/2004-08-11-baby-carrot_x.htm According to Snopes.... In short Look for this labeling to determine if they are cut down and soaked type " baby Cut carrots " or if they are bred small or picked early type Baby Carrots (which are " real " babies) http://www.snopes.com/food/tainted/carrots.asp so, i'm wondering if the convenient shredded carrots i get at Trader Joe's are soaked in icky stuff!!!!
