Guest guest
You dont need to wait for the husks to fall off, You can eat the husks (fibre) or pick them off yourself. The lentils should be fine to eat after 6 days as long as youve been rinsing them and they seem fresh. We often leave lentils till they develop leaves and eat them. They are yummy like that hazel

Guest guest
Hi Francisca I eat the lentils after their little tail starts to break the surface of the skin or with in a few days of sprouting, when their tail is about 1/4 inch long. Yummy. I eat them with the skin, as I have heard it was just fiber. I do the same with mung beans. I eat the lentils way before they have started to send up a shoot with the cotyledon (leaves). Hope this helps. Have fun. Diane fran_dubois wrote: >Hello Everyone, > >I started sprouting lentils last week and I realize that I'm clueless >about this art. Guest guest
Final note, I am not sure if you have checked out the Sproutpeople.com website. They have an incredible amount of information on sprouting which they freely publish. It is a great source of how to's.
