remember my dry container problem?

Well the answer is: my machine needs a 'centering pad'

sadly this info is at the bottom of the page regarding the tamper in the manual (that placement does not make sense to me given how the pad affects how the container WORKS)

and it is NOT on the website when one looks up the container info

Amazon was brilliant - sent the refund before I sent back the container (not keeping it as I am worried it may have gotten damaged)

Vitamix customer service pretty good - told me about the pad and apparently is sending me for free along with a tamper (now dont get me wrong - would have said they were excellent EXCEPT the language was vague re what was being sent to me other than the tamper - which I don't need because I bought one after losing my original- and blowing off the issue of where this information about the pad was placed)

I will be purchasing the dry container next week - from where I am not sure yet.
