Guest guest
Hi , A macrobiotic diet is a fairly complex balance between warming/cooling foods, foods of various colors and properties. There's a lot of individualized tinkering that can be done within the diet. Basically, while balancing the different healing properties of food (eg warming or cooling, expanding or contracting) one eats the standard macrobiotic fare: whole grains (lots of udon and soba noodles, rice, some wheat); veggies, particularly sea vegetables, beans, some meat. No fruits, tomatoes, potatoes, mushrooms, eggplant, milk, cheese, etc. I may not be getting it all correctly because I haven't followed the diet for over a year. Check out a web site or two, I bet there are tons devoted to it. I think it's great for an acute situation, but with a family (and perhaps even if I wasn't cooking for ohters) I found the diet too difficult to follow as a life time plan--but was motivated enough to stick with it during the acute phase of my illness and for a couple of months of recovery. Now I don't follow it strictly, but don't eat processed foods (mostly), dairy products or wheat. B macrobiotic > B, what is a macrobiotic diet? But I do not know what this macrobiotic diet is? > > Thanks for letting us know how well it worked for you. > > > > > >

A plant whose virtues have not yet been discovered. From: evergreengarden <evergreengarden@...>Subject: Macrobiotichealth Date: Thursday, May 28, 2009, 3:50 PM Hello, Does anyone know anything or practice macrobiotic diet, or know about a good email group to join? I was reading a book that made me realize that my vegetarian diet is expansive and can favor the growth of the ovarian cysts. A macrobiotic diet would have a contracted effect and perhaps can help me get rid of the cysts. I want to try, but I know very little about it. Any help or suggestion, please? Guest guest
http://www.pccnaturalmarkets.com/health/1297003/ Interesting. These markets are in my area. I've been shopping at them since the '70s. Expensive, but meet my needs. Shari
