It is still slightly swollen but I can do my cardio and play tennis now. The only thing is that I had to buy tennis shoes that were a size and a half bigger. I still have to wear those " clown " shoes when I play tennis. What I did was for one full week I did no cardio at all. I taped the toe to the one next to it and I elevated and iced it often. After a little over a week I could do cardio (I used an aerobic tape) but I did it barefoot. I did not play tennis for about four weeks. I imagine your toe hurts more since it is a " main " toe....I managed to do all my weight training with no delay. I also used some small (5 lbers) dumbbells doing arm curls....about 75 to 100 curls at a time throughout the day which felt like it was keeping my metabolism slightly elevated since I wasn't doing the cardio that week. Oh...just rmembered..I also sort of made up a floor routine for cardio days...you know, like being on your side and doing leg lifts or inner thigh lifts and such...hey, at least it was something! Guest guest
Ya know, it was the strangest thing (Well, actually considering my life, it's not even CLOSE to the strangest thing). We went to bed and everything was okay (some parts were GREAT, but that's another story). In the wee hours of the morning, I nearly jumped off the bed, my big toe hurt so much. I got up to look at it and could hardly walk. It was swollen, and very bruised. I've broken that toe before, when I was in the Coast Guard and in the middle of my two year specialty training in Security, taking various martial arts and combat self defense training. So I know what a broken toe, my broken toe, looks and feels like. As for what I am doing for it, the basics. Deep Tissue Repair Oil a couple of times a day, a strong White Willow Bark decoction as needed, but I try to keep it in my system at all times, so maybe 12 oz every 4-5 hours, and capsules of the Nerve Sedative Formula at night, to help me sleep. I also keep it wrapped, not too tightly (speaking of not too tightly wrapped.....) HUSH Guido!!! As I was saying, I wrap it in an Ace Bandage at night and a goodly portion of the day to keep it from moving around as much as possible. I also use hot/cold therapy a few times a day, especially before bed, for at least 15 minutes at a time. The pain is very manageable now, but sure was a booger at first. The swelling is almost gone, but the bruising is still pronounced. It still hurts if I am not careful, and I walk with a pronounced limp trying to protect it. But I refuse to use my cane!! Hope this helps. Peace, love, laughter The officer said I had the right to remain silent. He was correct. I had the right. Just not the ability. Hi , Just wondering what you are doing to treat your broken toe? I woke up with a swollen foot a few days ago and have no idea why. Maybe it's a hairline fracture, but don't have any pain. Really no clue what's going on. Thanks. Peace on earth. Cheryl

Guest guest
I wish I had some. That was my first thought. Just don't have any made, or the materials to make some. But I'm doing great as it is. Except Marilyn keeps stepping on my foot.
