Hi Beth, I read your post about your move. Sounds

like an exciting time. We are going through something

similar. We have a trip planned for spring break. The

tickets are bought and the accommodations are made. J.

says " I am not going! " ....let me tell you this

produces anxiety for ME! My neck starts tensing up and

I can feel my body reacting. So I keep telling myself

breathe,(to the count of 4,slowly one breath in and

one breath out, 4 times) not to argue the fact, BUT to

bring up the trip, talk about all the fun things we

will be doing and talk about it like IT IS HAPPENING

(because it is) I don't argue...I just need to get

through this uncomfortable time of his rebelling. BTW,

my husband is leaving next sat. 11th and we will come

to where he is on the 31st. My son has issues even

being around his Dad,but it has gotten better from 3

years ago.(like your granddaughter feels about

clothes, my son feels about his Dad.)So here we are

going on this trip! What a big exposure huh? We will

have fun, we will have fun! In the meantime I am

exercising, and taking care of me! So I CAN COPE with

this big trip! Good luck in your move. We can do this!

Vivian in wa.st.
